Homeschool Art & Music Program (Nov 6 - Dec 18)

Give your homeschool student a substantive, engaging arts education at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center here in Cincinnati.

Students ages 5–12 may enroll in visual art, music, or both, with one-hour classes offered each Friday. The program is open to all homeschool families, regardless of whether they are affiliated with a homeschool group or microschool.

Structured, goal-based curriculum: Our qualified teachers design each semester around clear learning objectives, with instruction that builds skills and knowledge sequentially from week to week. Students develop meaningful skills while enjoying the creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning that make art and music engaging.

  • Dates: Every Friday November 6 through December 18 (No class November 27)

    Registration Deadline: Tuesday, November 3 8:00a

  • Time: 1:00 to 2:00p Art Hour, 2:00 - 3:00p Music Hour

  • Ages: Kids 5 to 12 (Must be 5 as of 8/15/26)

Our Partnership with The Resonance Lab

The Wyoming Fine Arts Center is pleased to partner with The Resonance Lab, a new Cincinnati microschool whose students will participate in this weekly program. Enrollment is also open directly to homeschool students throughout Greater Cincinnati.

Private-Lesson Discount

Students enrolled in Homeschool Art and/or Music receive 10% off private music lessons at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center for as long as they remain enrolled in the homeschool program. After enrollment is confirmed, our Registrar will email you a discount code. The discount applies only to the enrolled student and does not extend to other family members.

Meet Your Instructors:

Cynthia Bailey

Cynthia is a graduate of San Jose State University, CA, where she earned her BFA in Animation/Illustration in May 2020. Her passion is drawing and design - and being a creative problem-solver!

Cynthia has been serious about being an artist since her childhood; she sees herself in young campers' eyes. However, she is also a trained classical musician and is crazy for literature, writing, and story structure! She loves to explore other creative avenues such as dancing, acting, and live storytelling.

Fun fact: When Cynthia is not making art, she loves to relax with her family, and bake! We love working with her because she is the happiest when she is helpful in a team.

Anne Berg

Anne Berg has been teaching preschool music since 2024. She is certified in both Music Together and Suzuki Early Childhood Education.

A classically- and jazz-trained flutist, she graduated from Bowling Green State University after studying with Suzanne Thierry. She has performed as a soloist, as well as part of small, chamber, and large ensembles. She has taught flute privately and in group settings for over 30 years. She has directed both high school and adult level flute choirs, and is a member of two performing flute choirs in the Cincinnati area.

Her other musical interests include singing and experiencing music from many different cultures. She has studied Irish flutes, shakuhachi, bodhran, and gamelan. Her very favorite, though, is playing trios and duets with her sons: a violist, a bassist, and a cellist.

Outside of music, you’ll find Anne trying new recipes, taking bike rides, reading, and knitting. She loves spending time with her husband and three sons, getting together with friends to play games and talk about books, and seeking out the best coffee shops in Cincinnati.
