Welcome! Here’s what to know before you enroll.
Three policies matter most. They take about two minutes to read, and they’ll save you surprises later.
It's free if you enroll within 7 business days. If not, the card on file is charged the single-lesson rate ($20/$40/$60/$75 for 15/30/45/60 minutes). A trial doesn't hold a weekly time, your spot is secured when you enroll.
The big three
Please read these before you enroll
1Minimum enrollment commitment
Plan on at least 3 months.
- Your first 3 consecutive months of tuition are a commitment, starting with your first month.
- Leaving during those 3 months doesn’t cancel the tuition for them.
- After that, lessons continue month to month.
2Attendance & rescheduling
Tuition reserves your weekly time with your instructor, not individual lessons.
- Missed lessons aren't refundable
- Makeups are a courtesy, never a guarantee. They may be offered for illness or emergency, depending on your instructor’s and the Center’s availability.
- Vacations, travel, sports, school events, scheduling conflicts and late cancellations are never eligible for rescheduling.
- If your instructor cancels because of illness, an emergency, weather or a closure, there’s no makeup or refund. That flexibility is already built into the yearly calendar and your tuition.
3Withdrawing from lessons
Stopping takes written notice, 30 days ahead of time.
- Tuition & lessons continue through the 30-day notice period.
- No retroactive withdrawals, and no refunds for prior months
- Not showing up is not the same as withdrawing. Written notice is required.
How payment & tuition work
One flat monthly amount, so there’s no per-lesson math.
| Lesson length | Monthly tuition |
|---|---|
| 15 minutes | $75 |
| 30 minutes | $150 |
| 45 minutes | $225 |
| 60 minutes | $300 |
Ask about our Partner lessons (two students, one instructor). Share the learning experience and pay a cheaper monthly tuiton ($80 / $120 / $160 per student for 30 / 45 / 60 minutes). Partners enroll together and each pays full tuition.
Good to know
-
Our private music lesson program is designed under the assumption of taking a full year of instruction, planned as 44 instructional activities across up to 46 weeks. Some of those weeks are recitals, studio classes, group lessons or performance workshops instead of your regular lesson. That’s by design, and it’s part of what your tuition covers.
-
Our year is built around one full year of instruction, and your monthly tuition is the same every month. It is not prorated or reduced in months that contain a break week.
Planned breaks: Thanksgiving week, Winter Break (2 weeks), Spring Break, Memorial Day week and Independence Day week. Our instructional year begins the last weekend of August.
-
Closures are posted on our website and on Facebook and Instagram. Weather cancellations are part of the calendar’s built-in flexibility, so they aren’t refunded or guaranteed a makeup. Questions? Ask your instructor.
-
Some instructors allow families to pause lessons for full calendar months in June, July and/or August, with at least 30 days’ written notice. Availability is up to each instructor.
No lessons happen during a hold month, but your lesson time and instructor stay reserved.
A non-refundable hold fee replaces tuition and doesn’t count toward future tuition: $15 / $25 / $35 / $45 per month for 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 minutes.
Without an approved hold, your lesson time isn’t guaranteed.
Once your hold period ends, tuition costs resume automatically.
These policies are also important to read over.
It’s never too soon or too late to enrich a life with music.
