Paul & Jan Bartel Scholarship

Every dollar helps our community’s CREATIVITY SOAR!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, 12 bright and determined students were awarded scholarships last fiscal year — more than ever before. Your support is changing lives, opening doors to opportunity, and helping these students carry their dreams forward.

Each and every donation fuels this meaningful fund, created to carry forward Paul’s powerful legacy and lifelong mission.

In memory of Paul & Jan Bartel, this scholarship aims to keep his vision alive.

In 1995, Paul Bartel purchased the vacated Masonic Lodge and founded the Wyoming Fine Arts Center (WFAC) to house the Cincinnati String Academy, inspired by the Suzuki Strings Program.

We aim to provide a vibrant community hub that enriches lives through the joy of learning, creating, and experiencing all forms of the arts, by and for all people of varied ages, races, abilities, and backgrounds.

Your generosity towards this Fund helps aide us in our goal. We thank you immensely.

His vision expanded into creating a true community arts center for music, dance, and visual arts. Paul personally financed the building’s renovation and was vital to the Center’s early survival and growth. For his contributions, he received the Governor’s Award for the Arts in 2000 and remained actively involved with the WFAC Board until his passing in 2019.

Applications will be opening soon!
