Paul & Jan Bartel Scholarship Application

DEADLINES

Scholarship applications open on May 15 and close on June 30 at 11:59 PM.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Paul & Jan Bartel Scholarship helps make music education accessible to students who may not otherwise be able to participate due to financial circumstances.

Funded through the generosity of our community in memory of Wyoming Fine Arts Center founder Paul Bartel and his wife, Jan, this scholarship reflects their belief that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, create, and grow through the arts.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Scholarships are available to children and adults enrolling in private lessons at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center. Both current and prospective students are welcome to apply. New students can learn more about our private lessons program here.

WHAT DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP COVER?

Scholarships are awarded for one academic year (September–May) and may cover either 50% or 100% of tuition costs, depending on demonstrated need and available funding.

HOW ARE DECISIONS MADE?

Applications are reviewed by a scholarship committee and evaluated based on demonstrated financial need, commitment to participation, and the anticipated impact of music education on the applicant's life.

WHEN WILL I KNOW IF I RECEIVED A SCHOLARSHIP?

Applicants will be notified of scholarship decisions by the end of July.
