Euna Choi is a South Korean pianist and doctoral candidate in Piano Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where she studies with Michael Chertock and Avan Yu. She studied with Norman Krieger at Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music where she earned both a Master’s degree and a Performer’s Diploma, and she earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Ewha Womans University in Korea.

As an active performer, she has appeared in performance venues across San Francisco, Knoxville, Shreveport, Bloomington, and Seoul, showcasing a wide range of repertoire. She was recently awarded prizes and honorable mentions in the international competitions including American Virtuoso International Music Competition, Knoxville International Piano Competition, and the Artciál International Piano Competition where she won the Special Contemporary Award recognizing her commitment to modern works. She was also selected to be the recipient of the Gessner Piano Award Scholarship from CCM in the 25-26 academic year, in recognition of her excellence in her study. During her time at Indiana University, she was selected by the piano faculty to perform at the “Beethoven Piano Sonata Festival” and she won the second prize at the JSoM Piano Concerto Competition in the same academic year. She also participated in a community concert series supported by the IU Center for Rural Engagement and JSoM, aiming to reach out to the community and share music with local audiences in Nashville, Indiana.

Alongside her performance career, she is deeply committed to music education, mentorship, and piano pedagogy. She served as an Associate Instructor in the secondary piano department at Indiana University and continued her teaching career as a Graduate Assistant in the secondary piano department at CCM until Spring 2026 semester. She is a faculty member at the Ebenezer Music School, a local music academy located in Cincinnati and she has recently served as a judge for the auditions organized by OhioMTA Southwest division. She also has presented in multiple conferences including the 2023 MTNA National Conference, the 2024 OhioMTA, and the 2025 MTNA Collegiate Symposium. As a versatile collaborator, she has performed with many instrumentalists and vocalists, playing numerous repertoire. She is currently serving as an accompanist and a piano faculty at Sycamore Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati.
