Meet Your Instructor: Kai Blunt
Kai Blunt is a Cincinnati-born fashion designer and jeweler. A recent B.F.A. graduate from Syracuse University, Kai majored in Fashion Design with minors in Museum Studies and Jewelry & Metalsmithing - fields that allow him to blend creative innovation with historical preservation.
Passionate about sharing art in all its forms, Kai teaches classes on a variety of craft techniques. Whether it be 2D watercolor and sketching, fibercraft like weaving and sewing, or expressive jewelry and beadwork, he’s here to encourage a wide range of creative exploration.
Having taught artists from 6-60, his favorite part of art is sharing it with others. He aims for all his students to get as much joy out of the process of making as the finished product, if not more.
When not in the art studio, Kai likes to get back to his scouting roots by enjoying the great outdoors and loves to figure out new ways to bring nature into his art projects.
