Fall Youth Theatre

$195.00

Young performers will work with professional music and theatre educators from American Legacy Theatre to bring a complete musical production to the stage. Students will be assigned roles, learn and memorize songs and dialogue, help create costumes and sets, and perform a 20-minute show for family and friends.

Ages and Times:
Middle School, Grades 5–8: Mondays, 3:15–4:45 p.m.
Elementary School, Grades 2–5: Thursdays, 3:45–5:15 p.m.

  • Registration Deadline: September 10, 2026

  • Instructors: American Legacy Theatre teaching artists

  • Location:Wyoming Fine Arts Center

  • Performance: Sunday, December 13

Elementary School Theatre: Sleeping Beauty

Students in grades 2–5 will rehearse and perform Sleeping Beauty. Fifth graders will have the opportunity to serve as leaders within the elementary ensemble before moving into Middle School Theatre in sixth grade.

Thursday rehearsals, 3:45–5:15 p.m.

  • September 17 and 24

  • October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29

  • November 5, 12, and 19

  • December 3: Review and polishing rehearsal

  • December 10: Dress rehearsal

  • December 13: Performance

There will be no rehearsal on November 26.

Middle School Theatre: The Wizard of Oz

Students in grades 5–8 will rehearse and perform The Wizard of Oz. The schedule has been purposefully designed not to conflict with the Wyoming Middle School theatre program. Fifth graders may choose this program, the elementary production, or enroll in both, depending on the experience that is right for them.

Monday rehearsals, 3:15–4:45 p.m.

  • September 14, 21, and 28

  • October 5, 12, 19, and 26

  • November 2 and 9

  • November 30: Review and polishing rehearsal

  • December 7: Dress rehearsal

  • December 13: Performance

There will be no rehearsal on November 16 during the Wyoming Middle School production’s tech week or on November 23 during Thanksgiving week.

Meet Your Educators: American Legacy Theatre

American Legacy Theatre is a Cincinnati-based professional theatre organization that believes theatre should be accessible to everyone. Its teaching artists bring professional music and theatre experience into the classroom, creating welcoming spaces where young people can develop their skills, express their ideas, and work together toward a shared performance.
