WFAC Summer Camp Junior Counselor Program

$45.00

The Junior Counselor program is a hands-on leadership experience for teens who are ready to step up. Working alongside our camp staff, Junior Counselors develop real communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, all while making a meaningful impact on younger campers. No prior experience with the Center required. Just a willingness to show up, take initiative, and be a positive presence in the room.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Counselor, you’ll work alongside our camp staff each week to help things run smoothly. That looks like:

  • Helping supervise campers during activities, transitions, breaks, and recess

  • Serving as a positive role model and encouraging younger campers

  • Following the lead of Camp Instructors and Camp Assistants

  • Building leadership and communication skills in a real, hands-on environment

What You’ll Gain

  • Leadership experience working directly with children

  • Communication and teamwork skills in a professional setting

  • A deeper connection to the arts community

  • A meaningful addition to a resume, college application, or portfolio

  • Please note that this is a leadership position. Junior Counselors will not get the opportunity to participate in the camp curriculum. If you’re 13 or 14 and interested in learning about music, art, dance, or theatre, we encourage you to enroll in the camps instead!

Program Details

  • Open to participants ages 13–15

  • Cost: $45 per week - register for as many weeks as you’d like

  • Runs alongside the full Summer Camp program, 9:00-4:00 Monday through Friday.

  • Spots are limited!

Below, please select which week you’d like to work as a Junior Counselor, and click “Add to Cart”. If you’d like to work multiple weeks, you’ll need to add each week to the cart separately. You will need to fill out the registration form for each week. Thank you!
