The Orchard: Opening Reception
Sunday, May 3 | 1:00–3:00 PM
Wyoming Fine Arts Center Ballroom

Join us for the free public debut of The Orchard — a community art exhibition rooted in conversation and brought to life by neighbors across Greater Cincinnati.

Over the past several months, Cincinnati-based artist Holly Yarab led hands-on workshops at six Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library branches — in Wyoming, Northside, North Central, College Hill, Madisonville, and Reading. At each stop, community members gathered to talk about what care, connection, and belonging mean to them, then channeled those conversations into something tangible: a small sculptural "tree" built together from simple materials and personal objects drawn from real, lived experience.

Each tree carries the spirit of its neighborhood. Together, they form a collective Orchard — shaped by many voices, many hands, and many stories. Come see it whole for the first time, meet the artist, and celebrate what grows when a community creates together.

Free and open to all ages! Join us to view the art, meet the artists (all of them), and enjoy some light bites and drinks.

Following this opening, The Orchard will spend the summer traveling to library branches across Greater Cincinnati.

The Orchard is presented by the Wyoming Fine Arts Center and supported through the GIG Fund, a program of Arts Midwest.
