Find-Your-Instrument - Let's Try Clarinet w/ Kate Kilgus! (April 18)
Curious about music lessons but not sure where to start — or which instrument to try first? Our Find Your Instrument program makes it easy (and fun!) to explore.
For just $10, you’ll come to a short, hands-on session with one of our WFAC instructors. You’ll learn a few basics about how the instrument works, try it out yourself, ask questions, and get to know the teacher. It’s a simple, low-stakes way to see what lessons feel like and discover whether an instrument really clicks for you before you enroll in our private music lessons program.
Dates: April 18
Time: 1:00p - 2:00p
*You can drop by anytime within this time range for as long or as little as you’d like to try cello with Brenton.
Ages: 5 and up
Location: Wyoming Fine Arts Center
Meet our instructor Kate Kilgus, a clarinetist in the Cincinnati area who is passionate about sharing music with others through teaching, collaborating, and performing.
She completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music during which her research focused on implementing mind-body awareness techniques into music performance pedagogy.
As a teacher, Kate develops healthy technique, personal confidence, and a lifelong interest in music in all her students. Kate holds an M.M. from CCM as well as a B.M. in Clarinet Performance and a B.A. in Mathematics from Lawrence University.
Kate is currently taking new students. If interested in her tutelage you can fill out our New Student Form or email registrar@musicartdance.org
