Curious about music lessons but not sure where to start — or which instrument to try first? Our Find Your Instrument program makes it easy (and fun!) to explore.
For just $10, you’ll come to a short, hands-on session with one of our WFAC instructors. You’ll learn a few basics about how the instrument works, try it out yourself, ask questions, and get to know the teacher. It’s a simple, low-stakes way to see what lessons feel like and discover whether an instrument really clicks for you before you enroll in our private music lessons program.

Time: 1:00p - 2:00p
*You can drop by anytime within this time range for as long or as little as you’d like to try cello with Brenton.
Ages: 5 and up
Location: Wyoming Fine Arts Center
Meet our instructor Brenton Carter, a native of Winchester, Illinois, is the Acting Principal Bass of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.
Brenton is an active freelance bassist performing with many orchestras in the region including the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra.
