Dr. Kate Kilgus is a clarinetist in the Cincinnati area who is passionate about sharing music with others through teaching, collaborating, and performing. She completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music during which her research focused on implementing mind-body awareness techniques into music performance pedagogy.

Kate is Adjunct Professor of Clarinet at Wright State University as well as Sinclair College. She performs regularly with her chamber group OLEA Ensemble, as well as the Mason Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati New Music Ensemble.

As a teacher, Kate develops healthy technique, personal confidence, and a lifelong interest in music in all her students. Kate holds an M.M. from CCM as well as a B.M. in Clarinet Performance and a B.A. in Mathematics from Lawrence University. Her primary teachers include Pavel Vinnitsky, Joe Morris, Christopher Pell, and David Bell.
