Weiyi Li is a registered Suzuki violin teacher from book 1 to book 10. Li graduated in music performance from Nanjing Fine Arts College in China and had 4 years teaching experience in the same college before coming to the US for graduate study. She studied both violin performance and Suzuki violin pedagogy with John Kendall from Southern Illinois University, and obtained a Master’s degree and certificate from long term Suzuki teacher training while there. She has taught at the Memphis State University Suzuki program, the Shreveport Centenary College Suzuki program, the Cincinnati Suzuki School at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center and CCM Prep, and in her own home studio. Li has been a violinist with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, and she currently serves as assistant concertmaster with the Middletown Symphony Orchestra.
