Saturday, February 27

10 am – 5 pm

All activities are FREE and FUN!

10:00-11:00    Musik Kids and Suzuki Kids (children with adults)

Join in for an hour of fun where you will sing, dance, play and have fun with other families. Musikgarten program is a leader in early child music education. Through music, children take an inner experience and move it into a shared creative experience. Group music-making releases energy which can be channeled in creative, productive directions.

Then, listen to Cincinnati’s largest Suzuki Strings program kids play, then try a string instrument your self – aka. instrument petting zoo! A collaborative program between CCM Prep and Wyoming Fine Arts Center.

11:00-12:00      Hip Hop with Steve Irwin / Jazz with Heather Yee (children to adults)

Dance your heart out (kids and adults). Join local teaching star, Center’s long-time summer Musical Theater choreographer and Hip Hop instructor Steve Irwin, and Heather Yee, in having fun through dance. We will use fun and parent-approved tunes to learn latest moves!

12:00-1:00         Art – Open Studio (children to adults)

Come and make some fun art (kids w/parents)! Creating and making are two of the most basic impulses young child possesses.  We believe that encouraging the creative process helps promote a lifetime habit of exploration, personal expression, self awareness, confidence and problem solving skills.

12:30-2:00        Cincinnati Civic Orchestra (children to adults)

Come and sit with us! Hear America’s oldest all-volunteer orchestra rehearse while sitting with the orchestra members, inside the orchestra itself! Be an orchestra musician for an afternoon without having to play an instrument. You will be fascinated!

3:00-5:00         Philippine Culture Through Dance and Music

Presented by Filipino American Association of Southern Ohio, an afternoon of Philippine couture through dance, music, and sampler of Filipino food!
