Cecilia Goist – Violin, Suzuki

Cece Goist, Suzuki Violin Instructor, Wyoming Fine Arts Center

Cecelia Goist is graduate of Central Michigan University and attended the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music majoring in viola performance. Her teachers at CCM were Peter Kamnitzer and Raymond Stilwell. She began Suzuki teacher training after attending the American Suzuki Institute at Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She has been trained and registered in the current ECC class,1A and 1B class, and Books 2-6 in violin and books 1-4 in viola. While at CMU, she taught in the string pedagogy program, which utilized the Suzuki method.

Teaching Experience

Cecelia Goist has been teaching Suzuki violin/viola in the Cincinnati area for 25 years. She currently teaches Suzuki at Sands Montessori with the Suzuki Cooperative for Cincinnati Public Schools, Suzuki at Northern Kentucky University through the preparatory department and at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center.

Cecelia was a a faculty member at the Cincinnati Waldorf School teaching traditional beginning strings classes and intermediate string orchestra.

Her professional experience includes affiliation with the following orchestras:

– Columbus Symphony Orchestra
– West Virginia Symphony
– Kentucky Symphony Orchestra

Alexander Technique Workshop 5/21

Got tension? Aches and pains?

Want to loosen up? Join us for an Alexander Technique Workshop with Shellie Cash, ATI certified instructor! For musicians and performance artists alike! Reduce pain, tension, gain freedom and ease of movement, and gain outcomes that reflect mindfulness and intentionality.

When: Sunday, May 21, 9 am – 5 pm (or 1/2 session in the AM 9-12:15 or PM 1:15 – 5)

Where: Wyoming Fine Arts Center Ballroom, 322 Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, OH 45215

Who: Singers, Musicians, Artists, Dancers, anyone who wants to improve body movement. **Ages 15 – 70.

Cost: $60 for the day | $40 half-day

$13.50 additional for lunch provided by Gabby’s Cafe.
